Plans to make St Andrews Day a national public holiday may be hitting the ropes despite unanimous support from the Scottish National Parliament as well as numerous celebrity figures. The First Minister Jack McConnell may have thrown a spanner in the works by claiming he was not 'convinced' by the idea.
